The afterwork was divided in two parts : the first one was devoted to an empiric study on how people use the iPad. The second keynote was more technical and mainly dedicated to developers. The presentation about the uses, was not really scientific but more focused on how people perceive the iPad, how they use it and what uses they prefer. Some conclusions were very interesting, and I discover the iPad as a very fascinating object of study.

I wished Valtech could organize another afterwork about the professional uses of the iPad, this time. Indeed, I am very interested in this aspect of the Apple's tablet, because I do believe that it is possible to imagine revolutionary uses of the iPad for business purpose. From SAP, to Mercedes-Benz, more and more companies are developing softwares and are implementing the iPad in their IT systems to improve some processes, or revolutionize their business.

The iPad has also a great potential on the education market. Convinced as I am by this fantastic product, I could be a very good iPad evangelist... Steve if you read me, feel free to contact me ;-)

In few months Google will release Android 3.0, which is supposed to provide an OS able to seriously challenged the iPad. I do think that except Palm, Google is the only company which could contribute to create an iPad killer... That outlook is very exciting, and I am looking forward to see the tablets war finally begins.
